Stay in middle of map when taking teleporter in 2v2 on cliffside

I was playing 2v2 with my friend on NA we are in EU so get about 120 - 130 ping and I took the teleporter after I slowed down when we won the round and it just spat me out on the other side and I ended up in the middle of the map whilst the rest of the players in the game were stuck in the blue rooms like usual. I was able to play completely fine and do damage to people for the rest of the game
